The shield might be something you want to reconsider though, Different vehicle and a freak occurrence but last fall we had a nasty thunder storm and while my wife was driving home in her 2005 Freestyle she ran over a branch that had fallen off a tree and it managed to get between the body and fuel line and shortly after that she went through a fairly substantial puddle of standing water and the force of the branch hitting the water was actually enough to pop the fuel line most of the way off the filter.

She made it home but said the car reeked of gas so I went out in the rain and turned on the key and gasoline gushed out, the fix was as simple as snapping the line back on the filter and it hasn't had an issue since but it just goes to show what kind of strange things can happen.

I think it was a small branch that broke the shield on mine.

Any time. I'm always happy to recommend a vendor who has treated me well in the past. I have so many parts from you guys on my F250, I've lost count. If my mustang were street driven at all, I'd probably be more inclined to replace that shield, but she's a garage/trailer queen that rarely sees street miles.
