My 2013 Mustang has made this noise for over a year now and after taking it to multiple dealerships the noise is still occurring. I have had my water pump replaced, all accessory belts replaced, and last visit to my local ford dealer lasted 2 months resulting in the Long Block of the motor being replaced and yet the noise is still occurring. I don't understand how this has not been resolved.

Where is the noise coming from area wise? And does it do it all the time or just when moving?

It is the same thing as everyone else in the forum. The squeal occurs once I have driven the car for a little and then let it sit for 1-2 hours. At this time when I start the car at idle the front end of the car emits a squealing noise at low RPMs slightly above idle.

My car still makes the noise, it's more noticeable during the summer months. I now have just 12,800 miles...

It amazes me that Ford dealers can't do simple troubleshooting before replacing parts. I removed the serpentine belt that drives the water pump and alternator and my car still made the noise. That ruled out the water pump, alternator, serpentine belt and tensioner.

I still question the stretch belt that drives the A/C and or the harmonic balancer. In total frustration, I have been treating this stretch belt with 303 Protectant and it appears to have reduced the noise. The 303 protectant is water based and should not harm the stretch belt. I don't see this as a solution but a troubleshooting tool.

I've owned Honda Accords for 30 years, my current Accord is now 9 years old. I have never had to take it in for any warranty work and it only requires regular maintenance. Maybe not the most exciting car, but very well sorted, I wish Ford and other domestic car companies could be more thorough.

I love my Mustang but it is quirky....

It's so frustrating. I love my car and it's horrible that my car spent 2 months at my local dealership being troubleshot which led to them replacing the long block of the motor. And the noise is still occurring.

I agree, I think this squeal is part of the engine's DNA and will never be resolved....
