Default Can't decided on my next mod...help.

Like most of you during the winter if you live up north, i am starting to itch to work on my car I am having a hard time deciding on what to do. My current mods are in my sig. I want to do either a Steeda Sway bar/panhard bar upgrade (I would like to auto cross it in the summer) or a Boss Manifold ( and I do take it to the strip). I am not going to Supercharge it or run nitrous.

I know the pros and cons on the Boss manifold. And I would like to do all the work on the car myself.

Any ideas on these ideas or other mods for under $1500.

You are about where I am on upgrades, I dont have headers or midpipe yet, or brakes, but they are coming soon. Go with appearance mods next. Body kit, stripes maybe? If you don't like that idea, do a control arm relocation and get stiffer ones... also upgrade to 4:10 gears, those sound like pretty easy things to knock out. Also, do you have a tuner?

I would recommend the Cobra Jet Intake and GT 500 throttle body. More power on the top end than the Boss intake and no low end loss of torque.

Little pricey... But a better power mod overall.

I'd go with gears and sway bars. If you're autocrossing I'm not sure you'd be getting fast enough to see those top end benefits from the intake and TB.

I don't know what steeda suspension entails in your sig, but if you don't have rear LCAs you might want to look into those. It's cheap and it could help you get the power you already have to the ground.

If you are auto crossing I personally wouldn't worry about exterior mods (just in case), but the sway bars definitely and how about some tires for auto crossing

Right now....my current mods are...
Appearance - BOSS/CS Front Fascia, factory appearance package upgrade - I'm not too worried about appearance mods right now...and if I was..not much else I would do. Actually, I would like to tune it down and get rid of the CS spoiler and go spoilerless...lol.
Go Mods - Bama tuned, 3.73's, BBK Off road x, Steeda Springs and LCA's, I have the Brembo package so I don't need to really upgrade the brakes at this point. And I figure that a good set of DR's would be a good upgrade also.

Cruizin - Would the CJ intake manifold be that much of an improvement? And what supporting mods do you need besides the GT500 TB? Will the JLT still hook up or do you need a new CAI?

If the goal is to get more top end with no low end loss then the money is well spent on the CJ intake. It's also going to require a custom tune and a modification to the CAI to accommodate the larger oval TB.

It's a good platform to maintain daily drivability while increasing performance. You can tweak it with future mods like cam swap, forged pistons etc...while keeping the engine normally aspirated. There is a pulse ring adapter upgrade as well, once you start to swap to forged internals and an aggressive cams setup, then this mod is a simple tweak.

I can't say this intake has disappointed me. And...it's not a "seen it been there done that" type of common intake mod....Yet.

I'll second this suggestion. Excellent and very functional mod. Will transform the way the car handles.
