So I'm looking to replace my hood with one without hood pins some day.

This guy has a "stock" Saleen hood which looks like just a stock hood. He's about three hours away from me and is 95% sure it's fiberglass. I tried telling him all stock hoods are aluminum as well. Attached are some pisc. Looks aluminum to me....

 

Looks like a stock hood to me. The real way to tell is to look at the underside. Ask him for a picture of that.

 

He's like an hour from where it's stored. He said svtperformance stated its composite. Whatever that means. But we couldn't come to a agreement on price so I'll be passing.

 

Just a stock hood, nothing unique about it. The special Saleen hoods are very different, but weren't on all Saleens and many just used a stock hood.

 

I figured it was just a stock hood. I had a hood lined up from a guy that was going to have it painted for $225, until one if his guys knocked it off the rack and backed over it :/
