Default Mustang speed sensitive steering control option question

Hi there.

I drove my friends 2012 Boss 302. And found one feature about the speed sensitive steering wheel. You can select comfort level of steering. It's was nice and had questions does anyone know how to get it in 2010 mustangs. Is it a software upgrade or a part upgrade required. Anybody here done it ?

Thanks

It requires the electronic power assist steering rack and I believe also a 2012+ PCM, best bet would be to trade up.

it's practically impossible to upgrade. as danzcool says this feature requires electric power steering assist (EPAS) which wasn't offered on the Mustang until MY2011. you can't just throw a 2011+ rack in there and go; the PCM/BCM wouldn't know anything about it. Also, the EPAS motor requires a lot of power and you wouldn't want to try to run those wires yourself.
