you should consider a front spoiler and a drop kit, or maybe changing alot out on the suspension so that it doesn't float

I personally and its just me want the muscle car look of the 60s not all the plastic of today. The suspension hasbeen worked on to the tune of $5,000. tire's wheels springs arms alot was done to make the car handle for road coarses. I just don't want it to stick out like a sore thumb.

Just got the call. 10 days out and it should be done. We are getting the first production set of J-Tec pistons for the 3 valve head and 14lbs. of boost. rods, stroker crank all balanced.
$7,000 installed including everything else that has to go back on and the dyno run time its not to bad.

For the Go Fast 2005 Mustang owners parts are here. Forged stroker crank 311cid, forged rods and forged blower pistons, everything is ported and polished. Everything is 10 ribbed belt with underdrive. We are going to stay with 14pis of boost Im sick of the car blowning up. This setup is said to take up to 1000hp. We are going to take it to the 700hp mark and stop but it will still be unreal fast. We are able to up the limiter since we changed valve springs to 7200rpm if it can pull that in 6th thats 210mph plus. The motor I'm sure will do it when we were at 600hp I had the car at 180gps but its a dam hand full and I'm not kidding.

As soon as they call I will fly over and video the dyno tune which is going to take a while and try to get a video inside the car on the test run. Just an Update.

Very interesting! Just what i want to do, except my budget is much more limited! I do have a saleen blower, but basically all the lessons you learn will apply at some point for sure. Thanks for paving the way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

all i can say is wow!
sounds like you are ready for some wind tunnel time!! rear diffuser and a hood with heat extracter style naca ducts would probably help a bit. from my experience drag racing aero really starts affecting cars at about 130-140mph. we have built numerous fast unaerodynamic cars over the years and i can tell you that going 170 in a 33 ford roadster or 160 in a 27 model T is scarey! even though you are going in a straight line it's almost impossible to keep a car on the ground at those speeds without some aero help. i know what you mean about losing that muscle car look but if you can't control it it's worthless to have that potential.
check out what i had to do to my 27 T to settle it down on top end.

Well I'm not saying we haven't done anything to help. I want to keep the muscle car look but we went with Maximum Motorsports has a suspension kit around $5,000 its worth every penny. My personal goal is 0-120mph in the blink of an eye. We have tons of cruises around here and it seems me and the Vet club end up on the interstate every time. When the car was 600hp at the wheels from a rolling start it walked away from everything. From a dead start it would actually spin in 1st then shift into 2nd and still spin until it hit the revlimiter and went into 3rd. I'm telling 1st gear is nothing but the wheel spin in 2nd you better stay ahead of the car or its coming around.

I totally argee with you but I'm going to try to keep the stock body look and make her go fast.

Nice car. You can tell the workmanship that went into it.
I love giving the Vet guys here crap were all friends. I try to explain the shaker 1000 radio system and 3 girls in the car and it still out runs the Vets. I havebeen taking my share of crap the last two weeks since it blew up. They all loved that. Wouldn't say it but they did. Oddly enough I have a broken ear drum and the several times I've had to fly back they loved it. They call it the one way car. Lets say we are flying at 500-1000ft if possible.

i'm thinking maybe a set of (nitto?) dot legal road race tires. it's kind of like a drag radial for corners. it looks really bad a$$ but wet weather is probably going to suck with them. i saw them in this months mm&ff or 5.0 magazine. with that kind of power it just needs sticky tires and a dry flat road.[sm=gears.gif]

You can look at the pic and see the car has tires that hook up pretty good. I've changed the axles and drive shaft. Also added a safety loop since Ford ran the gas tank right next to the drive shaft. Really good thinking! I don't mind the spinning I'm guessing in the long run if it hooks up I'm going to break something. On another sh-ty note no parts. Looks like another 7-10 days at the least. This really Sucks!!!

What gears are you running in it now? Also (because I have a similiar Vortech set-up) when you upgraded to the T-Trim, did you still use the upgraded fuel pump that came with the Vortech Kit? I swapped back to the original Focus pump and added a Kenne Belle boost-a-pump to regulate during high boost. Curious what you used.
