Default Convertible Top Flaking

The top of my 07 vert has 1 small spot the size of a dime where the rubberized (or whatever material is used) top has flaked away. What is the appropriate method to repair this before the damage gets worse?

Not under warranty? If its really small not big time obvious, how about that spray and seal stuff you see on TV all the time? Appears to be strong and weather resistant, and flexible?

Just for the heck of it I did a search for convertible top repair in NY. - yellowpages dot com says they have 30 leads.

Thanks for the suggestions. I was trying to avoid a shop, so I think I'll try the spray stuff. It is only the one spot at this point.

Just take it easy when you apply, be ready to remove excess, or something.

Two thoughts, Recently I had new tires installed on my '05 GT, sadly they managed to jigger the finish on wheel pretty serious, looked bad, not just a "scratch" more like a gouge, times two. Took it to the dealer, complained, said he had a "rim guy" that came in weekly to fix rims. It was amazing, I swear you cannot see or feel where the damage was, and the whole wheel looks like new, no kidding! $85 was picked up by the dealer.

I was so jazzed about the rim, that I went back to ask about a couple of mars in my paint, I'm talking about very little ones, but I had patched them myself, I wasn't a happy camper, but it was what it was. So I asked them about the rim guy. They said they had a dude that comes in once a week to minor details such as my mars that was good. I am talking small mars, I'm talking my patch jobs were wrong color, not a good match, not obvious, but I was jazzed by the rim guy. This detail guy made my three of four spots just about disappear, even when you know where they are! The fourth is more of a gouge inside the right front wheel well, I managed to catch my motorcycle passenger peg on it backing out once day. Tight quarters. but, it is inside the wheel well and not very noticeable. Anyway, this guy only charged me $49!

Maybe the dealer has such a guy? Worth a check. FWIW FYI
