I just bought a 2005 GT off of craigslist from a guy and I got it home and found that 1 rim has a different offset than all of the others. Its a 1 inch less offset than all of the others. It is on my passanger side on the front and I was wondering if
i should move it to the back or is it okay? I dont really have the money to buy another rim cause the ones that are on there are pretty expensive. Thanks for any help!

 

Is the offset compensating for a more major problem?

 

No, there is nothing wrong with anything else on the car. The only thing is that it needs a new upper strut mount. I think that the original rim got damanged and the guy that had it was cheap and just put whatever rim he could found on it. I can tell that it is a used rim and tire because it is in worst shape than the other 3.

 

So is it a different style wheel than the others or what? My guess is he found a cheap 99-04 wheel and put it on there, they have a different offset than the '05+.

 

No its the same style, American Racing Thrust AR605M style rims to be exact. Its just one rim has a 1 inch smaller offset that the others.
