I've never had a rattle on mine even with all the different midpipes I had on it. With the longtubes, the hangers almost seem unnecessary (I bought my H pipe used and someone had cut off the driver's side hanger, I made a new one out of some 3/8" rod and welded it on), BUT I would be afraid without any hangers there it would put a lot of stress on the manifolds or the headers.

Years ago I put a longtube header on my old 2.3L Mustang, and mating it with the factory midpipe meant I had to cut off the section that had the hanger at the transmission crossmember. So, I ran it for awhile with no hanger between the engine and the mufflers, and it caused the collector on the header to crack. That's why I'm surprised the Ford TSB advises you to just remove those hangers.

My 2010 didn't have hangers on it from the factory, but there was still clearance between the hangers on the Pypes X-pipe and the Trans cross member. My 2013 does not have hangers on it either but after 67,000 miles on my 2010 and 60,500 on the 2013 I have not had any problems.
