Suggestions; shopping for my first Mustang
Hello all,
I'm looking for a 2011-2014 Mustang V6. I like them; I already have a game plan for what I'm going to do after (CAI, tune kit, and cat back exhaust). I'm going to get a 6 speed. I'm not too familiar with this thread yet, but I've been looking around and found out some stuff.
I was wondering what are your tips for buying? Things to look for, things to avoid, and just general advice? After driving a 13 3.7, I fell in love. I drove a 12 charger..didn't really do it for me.
Anyways, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

What's your price point, your insurance costs, your intentions for the car? You need to provide more info here.
Basics are get as new a car as you can with the options you want, with as low miles as you can find. Little changes make the newer versions better, usually. Look for signs of a careful owner, like undamaged wheels, minimal paint chips, general cleanliness, any records/maintenance history provided.

If you're buying used, look for tell tale signs of abuse/neglect/ check the car's service history, get a carfax report, look at the pedals, if they are worn out the car has been driven hard, check the suspension for leaky struts, if the engine has been washed it's almost sure that they cleaned it because it was leaking oil from somewhere. Look under the car for signs of bottoming out hard, if you have a scan tool, check if the car has any codes stored. Look for water in the headlights or tail lights. Worn out seats are another sign of heavy use. Don't go by the speedometer, those are usually hacked to show lower mileage.
