Has anyone found a solution to this issue yet? Mine has been doing this for about a year and and the popping sound is terrifying and dangerous.

I did everything suggested on the past posts and nothing worked. I did a little more research and found a video on youtube and the repair that worked for me was taking everything apart up until i got to the radio/CD. Heres the "solution" no joke, so with the car key on and engine off tap the bottom part of the radio/cd and boom it should work (it did for me)

Default Radio Won't Turn On

So I watched a few videos and read comments from this forum and came across a very easy fix that worked for me. Hitting the bottom of the radio turns it back on, but I did not want to remove all that trim to get to it. So instead, a simply pulled back the bottom panel on the left side of the radio, just pulled back, not off, and tapped the radio bottom with the handle of a hammer. It took one light tap, and presto! The radio worked without removing any trim

Default New twist to radio problems

I am having the same blinking radio issues and no bluetooth. The temp is correct and so is the direction or compass reading. The twist is that my defrost comes on by itself while driving. I know that I didn't accidentally hit it because it was 100 degrees outside and I didn't have it set to heat. This has happened more than once. Is there any one thing that controls this center area, The radio, navigation, and A/C?

This sounds very much like the Smart Junction Box (SJB) that is acting up (very likely due to water damage).
The SJB controls a lot of the non-engine electronics power/logic. It can be found behind the front-passenger kick-panel. I would inspect that box, specifically looking for rust/corrosion. Also check the carpet for moisture.

Default Loud popping, dead radio

Over a couple of months, the stock radio in my 2014 convertible would randomly pop super loud, like a bad speaker, but kept working until it didn?t. Did my research and figured I was going to have to take the console apart and buy a new head, because no way would tapping on the bottom of the radio with a hammer would work, right? (Btw, fuses were good to go) Decided to take a last look thru the forum for tips when I saw where someone had simply loosened the panel on the drivers side just enough to see the bottom of the radio and tapped it with a hammer. So Hail Mary, got a pry tool a ball ping hammer??10 seconds later I?m up and playing again 💕💕💕!
