Default 2005 Mustang bogs and dies when I gun her

Hi ,
My 2005 Mustang GT V8 conks out and dies if I go to gun it, or occasionally farts, after about a 5 minute rest , she'll start up again. What do you think, air filter, spark plugs fuel filter? I hope nothing serious, I have the works scheduled for her, she is over due

It can do that if it is a fuel delivery issue.... Really hard do tell without
being there... I would go the basic routes first, fuel filter, then new
plugs and gap them correctly.

Next would be coil packs, fuel pump....

An air filter generally won't cause that, even if it's a little full of dirt, mostly
hesitation off the line with a dirty filter.

Dirty throttle body can cause that, I'd pull it, clean it and see if that helps.30 minute simple task.

Certainly sounds like a fuel delivery issue. As others have advised:
Clean the throttle body.
Clean the MAF sensor.
Change the fuel filter.

How overdue?

How long have you owned it, how many miles on it and how many of those have you put on it? Has it always been like this or when did it start? Auto/manual?
