Default What is this connector for?

Pulled the radio out of my Daughters 05 Mustang to hook up a amp to it. This connector was just hanging out behind the radio. I was wondering what it is for?

thanks!

Looks like the connector for the Subwoofer and factory sub amp power on.

No factory sub in the trunk. Had a Shaker 500 from factory I was told. Has a aftermarket radio in it now. Could this be for the door subs? They don’t work.

It's not just for the trunk subs, it's also for the door subs. Since he said they don't work, then who ever
put the aftermarket system in, didn't get the adapter for that connector to power and hook up the
subwoofers to the radio, or the radio does not have a subwoofer output.

That connector, has the amp turn on lead, and the subwoofer to amp wires. I can tell
from the picture, it isn't a shaker 1000, it does not have the other wires for the rear
sub amps.
