Default Hey Guys. I am new to the forums and just had some Q's???

Hey guys im glad to be a member here. I have been reading this forum for a while and finally decided to register becuase im about to order a 2006 Stang.

I had some questions for all of you mustang lovers before I go to the dealership again!

I went to University Ford in Palo Alto on Friday looking to see a 2006 Mustang GT.
They had one that I was interested in purchasing...
GT 2006 Manual Premium Shaker 1000 Active Alarm Wheel Locks Interior Upgrade Package and the new style 17 inch wheels.
Msrp: 29300
They gave me an invoice sheet and it has a lot of different prices for the car there.
a/z-plan 26042
d-plan 26142
x-plan 27105
Which one of those prices will be closest to what I will be paying for any Mustang.

I really don't need all of those options. I just want IUP with Shaker 500 and the classic Bullitt wheels 17 inch and side airbags.
My plan is to order one.
Tungsten Gray, Silver, Black, Redifre----------Still thinking!!!LOL

Does any one know what dealer would be best to order from or know how to pick a dealer who will deliver the quickest in the San Francisco Bay Area.

My bet is that you'll be paying MSRP at University. I bought my car there (when it was called Peninsula Ford and owned by different people) and paid MSRP. This was back in December 2004. Easiest way to find MSRP is to go design the car on Ford.com, and you'll have your price.

If you roll in there with the money you can pay very little over dealer invoice. Which is the A plan + the delivery charge. If you need to get financed I would not pay more than the x plan because that is 5% under delear invoice. Not a whole lot of savings. My advice is order it just the way you want and do it via the ford website. You can pit several dealers against each other and get the lowest possible price for your area. I guess it just depends on how bad you want it. If you have to have it today you are going to pay msrp. I paid $600 over dealer invoice and they ordered it just the way I wanted it. Most dealers were selling this 26k car for 31k at that time. Things arent so bad now but they will still try and take advantage of you. (its how they make a living) So patience can save you a lot of money.

Best of luck

I got mine from Frontier Ford(San Jose). We were real happy with the way they treated us. I think you're better off ordering the car. It will take longer, but you will get exactly what you want.
