Colt, no offense, but you sound like a very immature driver... flooring the vehicle in the snow, etc. and considering you haven't driven in snow before.

That being said, traction control is not necessary. My vehicle doesn't have it and it drove in the snow just fine.

It's a matter of knowing how to drive in the snow, which you obviously have little experience doing.

Also, your transmission will make a difference... automatics are much different than a manual transmission in the snow.

Punching it in the snow!! Fun if you know what to do.
Saturday I had the open snow covered road to give the traction control a good test.
Got rolling in 1st gear, shifted in 2nd an put the hammer down, car pulled great and straight!
Id be willing to give any 4x2 car a run in the 1/4 mile, lol

Exactly.. IF you know what to do. This guy, admittedly, doesn't know a thing about driving in the snow.
