ORIGINAL: LesteR723

i'm taking mine off when it gets warm enough to give it a hand wash... i think it looks a lot cleaner
I went to the quarter wash with my wash mitt and neoprene gloves. It was a balmy 37F Monday. Don't really like using the quarter wash but it gets most of the salt and grime off. I then take back into the garage for a bird bath(use warm water and micro fiber cloth to wash) Really works well in keeping my stang clean in the Michigan winter.

I actually put side stripes on my GT because I felt it evened out the look of the GT, making it for straight. Without them the back seemed too high. I would like to have them replaced with the GT300 stripes...

I never really liked the stripes at first, but when I got my 06, they kinda grew on me. There are certain colors that it just goes well on, especially when I eventually get those racing stripes.

Lose the side stripes. Stangs look so much nicer without them. If it wont just peel off you can get sticker remover that comes with a plastic scraper thats safe on your paint. I used it to remove the dealer decals and other unwanted stickers on mine.

I have an '06 V-6 with Pony Package. At 800 miles and less than a month, I noticed the fat section of the driver rear quarter stripe was just gone. Dealer ordered a new one, but still...that shouldn't happen. I have the redfire metallic with gold lower door stripe. I actually like the stripes on the car.

I had the triangle from the 'A' replaced as well, then had the whole thing taken off and went with the painted side stripes... much better now
