Livernois Heads-Are they worth it?
I remember reading a while back about these heads. The pair costs $1595 with the core heads returned. I was wondering if anyone has these and if they are worth it? I think 40rwhp was mentioned (or something close to that), but I don't know if those numbers are legit. I have about $2000 that I can spend and thought this might be a good way to go.
Another question, for anyone who has swapped their heads. When I had my 88 GT, I swapped the heads on it and it was pretty easy. How easy is it on these new motors and what else would I have to do to make sure everything is ok (ie, tune)? Thanks for the input!

RE: Livernois Heads-Are they worth it?
i talked to lidio iacobelli about them since he did an install a few months ago. he said they are not worth it. they lost power and it took him all day to tune it to a 10hp increase. right off the bat the engine made 20 less hp. these engines are really sensitive to airflow. the heads don't have good flow #'s but they have an incredible velocity(air speed) which enables them to fill the cylinder quicker than a larger port with bigger flow #'s. cams and compression are going to be my biggest change next winter. that VCT has everyone scrambling to get the grinds for a good cam. i think there may be 30-40hp in a good cam since you have the ability to retard so much. it will allow them to get really aggressive with profiles. i can't wait!
