I have the same shift ball, but with a MGW shifter, so there isn't any problem with the boot. One of the guys in our Stang club got the same **** too, and to fix the sagging in the boot we tookthe boot up where it attaches to the console. We then lifted it up to expose the shaft, and installed a large zip tie at the desired height on the shaft. Pull the boot back down over the zip tieand snap it back. Problem solved.

Here you go. I got this from grabberpony.com before I got my Hurst. It worked and looked great. It has threads at the top, so you don't have to use a jam nut either. Function & Form!

Yeah, I had to get the grabberpony.com adapter, though. The nut on the Roush ball was driving me crazy, and surprisingly, it wasn't easy finding one that size, only half as thick.
