Default Hood help

Can someone take some pics of there factory hood scoop. Maybe some shots from the drivers seat and close ups of the front sides and back. I like the way it looks but am unsure if I want to add a stick on scoop to my car. I would love it if someone made a hood that had that look but was all one piece. But that would be a perfect world. Well my perfect world. the closest I have seen to that is the Saleen hood.

I agree, I have the scoop, but would prefer a one piece hood. The closest I've found is the RK Sport hood.

Here's some pics of mine

The RK hood is close but not the same. Wonder how hard it would be to close the gap around the hood scoop. Probably not worth the effort. thanks for the pics. Is it hard to see over from the drivers seat?

My wife, who is 5'5" has no problem seeing over the scoop.....the seats adjust nicely. The scoop also bolts on if my memory ids correct...at least a bolt near each corner. We get tons of comments about how good it looks.

You're right, but the RK Sport is the closest I've seen. I like the low wide look of the scoop, but haven't seen an aftermarket hood that is close. I have no problem seeing over the scoop when driving, it's not an issue for me though I'm 6 foot, my wife is 5 6 and doesn't have a problem but she rarely drives the Mustang. I thought about talking to a body shop about finishing it off as well, but wonder if anything would really work; the hood is aluminum and I'm sure the scoop is just some composite plastic. Can't weld it, and I'm not sure any filler would bond permanently without eventually cracking due to the different expansion rates of aluminum and plastic, that sucker can get mighty hot.

honestly never thought about the cracking of the filler because of heat. Thanks for the help. I'm still undecided. Does anyone have a white stang with a hood scoop? Is the line on it really obvious? I'm afraid to take the leap for some reason. Plus I already have louvers and side scoops, dont wanna have a car with every stick on part they make, you know?

Good luck, if you find something let me know. My comment about the cracking is a concern after thinking it through, not a fact. Maybe someone else on this site with experience in bodywork can give us an answer to that one.

I think your right. I had an acura with a gas cap mod. the gas cap was fiberglass then duramixed to the body. After about a year they started to separate. Difference of materials and flexing. Thats my experience, thanks for the reminder!

In my opinion the side gap on the hood scoop isn't that noticeable, and honestly I love my hood scoop. I love the wide spread out look of it rather than being something small but tall. I'd say go for it, but everybody has their own personal taste I suppose.
