Does anyone have an idea of what Ford charges for the 3.73 gears for the 2011 V6? I went to my dealership where I bought the car and was quoted around $180 a few weeks ago, went back this week to order them and was given a price around $370. I called their partner dealership and was quoted around $550. Should I order Ford parts from a site and then the dealership do the install? I want to keep things under warranty.

I had my done at dealer. I know the gears alone are around $170/180 just from looking at the site. But you have to realize that is just the gears. You will also need a few other things that go along with installing new gears. Gaskets, oil, whatever it is. I had mine done at dealer and the total install for the ford racing 3.73 gears was about $800 or so. That included labor.
