Roush Axelbacks

The JLT, C&L and Airaid (Bama) intakes for the 2011 V6, so far... ALL have had the same air/fuel ratio before and after the installation. This is great news, for those scared of a tune. For those scared of a tune, the bad news is that you're probably also scared of sunlight and the Easter bunny. I keed, I keed!
There are so many benefits when running a custom tune. The increased throttle response, driveability, horsepower and torque are just the beginning. Gas mileage, future mod support, ability to recalibrate the speedometer, datalog, read & clear DTCs, it's amazing.
So the testing we've done shows that these 3 intakes, when thrown on a stock 11 v6, add between 10-15 RWHP. You add a tune and you get another 8-10RWHP. The combination is worth 18-25 RWHP and the gains for both hp/tq throughout the curve are awesome as well. Now that makes the intake look like the important part of the equation. However, adding just a tune alone adds 15-20 RWHP. That makes the intake look less important. The point is:
An intake alone adds 10-15 HP
A tune alone adds 15-20 HP
Together they add 18-25 HP
I will have a lot more detail on this in the upcoming few days.

Just a follow up to my original comment. I never did hear back from Roush , never beleived I would. I installed the C&L intake last weekend and it deepend up the low end tone some. Still sounds to ricey when you stick your foot in it. Hopefully this Spring I'll be able to get something else.

Ricey, Country of origin please....could I have that in a sentence LMAO...."John said his car sounded Ricey", Hmmmm you mean like bits of dry rice inside the muffler when you shake you can hear rattling around in there? JK
If you are refering to the souped up high pitched...kind of Indy car sound our cars make, that is euro..I have Borla's and mine has that Lambo sound and when I got on it today it sounded like a trumpet blowing up LOL, not the Deep tone my '10 GT had.

Exactly, that's why I spent some time trying to figure out what sounded best to my ear on Youtube. Money wasn't a factor. I ended up with Bassani axlebacks because I though they had the deepest sound. They're much deeper in person & louder than stock. I expect that is the case with most of the others too.
You can always go back to the stock mufflers, and sell the Roush on Ebay. They'll go fast and you can put the money toward something else.
