How to take apart a tail light fixture?
My tail light appears to have some dirt inside the fixture and I was wondering how to take it apart so that I could clean it up. It is a 2014 mustang. I already removed the whole taillight from the car by unscrewing the 3 screws and unplugging the cable. I just need to know how to sepetate everything without breaking it.

The Assemblies are a sealed enclosure to keep them moisture proof. So they were'nt intended to be opened. You might be able to use a heat gun around the seams and pry it open? Considering there is dirt in there already then .... the seal is already broken from exposure to the elements??? Should be easier if that's the case.
It doesn't look like Ford ever thought these later assembles were going to need to be opened. Since its internals are entirely LED the life expectancy would technically be longer than the car. Most home LED bulbs being rated between 25 and 50 years of life expectancy. These Assemblies are like most laptops nowadays when they go bad...disposable replacements.

if you've already got it off the car, put some soapy water in there and slosh it around, then use the garden hose to rinse it out. these are cars, not lunar landing modules. edit, don't do that to the engine bay, these are lunar landing modules, not cars
