Default Exhaust recommendation

Yesterday I got a flowmaster super 40 installed on my 2014 v6 and I can't stand the drone. I've been doing research, but it's hard to find good recommendations for a v6. What are some good exhausts that have little to no drone, but still have a nice sound. The 40s I have are loud, but have that humming sounds and not really a good, or even decent growl. I'm currently looking into the borla s-types right now. No other modifications have been done. Please let me know your opinions

Do a search on You Tube for Borla ATAK or S-Type Exhausts. I know hearing the sound on a computer is not the same as in person but it may give you some idea of what you are looking for to get for your V6.

I liked the MRT Interceptor mufflers on mine. No drone, nice tone, and good looking 4" tips.

Any body but Flowmaster. Flowmater is another word for drone. They only sounded good in fox body Mustangs with the mufflers in front of the rear axle.

So I ended up changing out the flows for a borla s type and it sounds SO much better. Deeper tone and no drone. Not as loud but a way meaner growl. My question now is what would be a decent move from here? I'm looking into getting an h pipe or some shorty headers. What typically will give a better sound between the 2? There's videos on YouTube of each, but all those cars have multiple other mods so it's hard to tell what part is adding to the sound. I'm also looking into a cai to change the sound a bit, but I've heard mixed things about it. What are some of you guys opinion?

I would go shorty headers. If you do a CAI you want to get one that requires a tune which will mean you will have to buy a tuner (though I am not %100 sure with your model year).

what's the advantage of tune vs no tune? I've heard no tune still sounds good but there's no performance boost.

I have a SCT hand held tuner ($400 estimate) with e-mail tunes. My favorite tune is from MPT, $150. It adds 15-20 wheel horsepower, and worth every cent in my opinion
