I'm definitely not going to be getting into headers, internal engine mods, etc. Been down that road with other cars.

Posting a followup here: The "tuner" in the link above turned out to be absolute garbage. It wouldn't install in the car, and when I called the "tech line", guys from MSD answer the phone and had no clue about this thing, or how it worked. Eventually, somebody at Holley gave me a number for a company they contract with to handle tech on this thing, which I think is either Superchips, or the company that handles service for Superchips.....because this thing is apparently a re-boxed Superchips tuner, but their tech guys couldn't get it to work, suggested my car was the problem, and finally "escalated" it to an engineer. Three weeks later, no contact, no attempts at fixing it, just told me "we're working on it", so I returned it for a refund. And even if it did work, adjustability for gear ratio, tire size, etc. was a joke. Not even remotely related to Ford, or Mustangs, and lacked the ability to manually enter the proper figures. Tire sizes and gears were either "stock" or preset sizes/ratios that were more likely to be in a truck. Top speed choices were "stock" or "raised", but it didn't tell you what "raised" was. I seriously have no idea how they're even able to sell this thing. This is what happens when investment companies buy up speed part companies and consolidate their offerings I guess.

So, after that whole fiasco, I bought a used SCT X4 on ebay. Unmarried, and about the same price as the garbage from Holley/Accel. It installed in minutes, no problem. Options for gear ratio and such were actually related to the car I was installing on. Took it for a test drive, and it seems to work well, Revs out cleaner, and rev limit in neutral pops off right where I set it. Haven't tested the top speed limiter removal yet, but will get a chance soon. Also have the option to install custom tunes going forward if needed.

What a waste of time. Really disappointed in Holley. Their reputation in the industry is the whole reason I bought that junk. After 35 years of using their products, they've lost all credibility with me.
