Old 351 W

RE: Old 351 W
Guess whos back. Haha, well I think I found a block. Again. I had some people ask around for me, the first one that was found has sat outside for a while. It def has some rust in it, but I was told if I was gonna stroke it then it wouldn't matter. Plus the machine shop dips the blocks in acid before the do any machining on them? Or so I am told, and that would eat off alot of the rust. Anyone know about this? I will probably tear it down and take it to the local machine shop to see what they think about it.
Another friend told me that his uncle had a 351 police interceptor? Is this real or just some BS? He said it is still in the car (LTD I think?) and still has all the parts on it.
Ok guys, yall have already been alot of help, but lemme know your opinions on those.
Thanks

Congrats on not giving up, Yellow! When rebuilding, it is always a fantastic idea to have the block acid dipped. It is the best way to not only clean the cylinders and exterior, but also to clean the "scale" or build up inside the coolant passages and oil galleys. Clean passage walls promote better heat exchange and fluid flow. Either motor you choose should also be fluxed and checked for cracks!
Congrats again! Keep us posted.
