Can i use a 3.850 stroke crank???

ive got 5.955 rods and dss pro forging 4.030 pistons wondering if i could make a stroker>?

Hi fishermanjesse,
You can't use a 3.850" stroker crank if those pistons have the stock 351W pin height. A 393cu.inch stroker set-up, uses the stock 302 cu.inch piston pin height (typically) with that rod length. Yes the bore is the same whether it be .030" over or what have you, but with a stock 351W piston pin height, the pistons will protrude up into the combustion chambers. ouch! nuff said.
