Default Header Install Question

would i be able to install long tube headers without taking the whole motor out and without use of a 4 post lift to drop all the front suspension? recently bought the car and i think the manifold is leaking so i see a perfect time to add some headers.

also, with a 351 in a mustang, is there anything in particular i need to look for when shopping around?

I have a 90GT with MAC longtubes and I have to lift the engine a few inches to install or remove the passenger side header.

Its gonna depend on what size headers your gonna use 1 5/8" are gonna be easier to get in and out then 1 3/4".

I have hooker super comp 1 3/4" headers that are nearly impossible to get in and out without a ford high torque starter (smaller then regular starter) in there which has been loosened so you can move it around and I have to jack up the engine to get clearance on both sides. Any way you look at it on my car an 89 with hooker super comp headers its a project that you will bust you knuckles on and you will yell at anyone who is helping you unless you really really take your sweet time at it. I dread doing the headers when i have to pull the motor and they are a 3 piece header too.

I've got three words for you. "Tubular K Member". Still tight but 100% easier.
