I'm looking into a Flowmaster single american thunder for my stang. I have a single GT takeoff now, but want something quite a bit louder. Is a Flowmaster pretty loud compared to the GT takeoff? i heard one in person, and was impressed with the sound. Also, where would be a good place to buy it?

 

The flowmaster is pretty loud. It doesn't sound loud inside with the windows up but a friend told me she could hear me coming down the street. Got it at Jegs.com in 2 or 3 days.

 

Do you know if it's much louder then the GT takeoff? It seems that the best price is 180

 

Well, when I took my stang to Chicane sport tuning (mustang shop) It was right next to a GT with stock mufflers. When they started then both up the guy in the GT said "man, your car is louder than mine". And that was with just 1 muffler. lol

 

I got mine for $152 on ebay. $20 to ship it I think. It sounds great and yes it's loud.

I just got a Flowmaster put on my baby yesterday, and all I can say is WOW itsoundsgreat. I got mine done at a local muff shop I got the single chamber, which is maybe a little louder inside then I would prefer but I got a really good deal on it.
