yea ive had them on now for about 2 weeks now. they sound alot better now. the popping went away for the most part just when i hit it and let off before i shift it pops. im gunna give it about another week beforei get another clip up. i highly recommend getting the flowmasters if your thinking about it.you wont regret it. ihad the oppertunity to race another v6 s197(stock expect for single jba axelback) mine (duals)a couple hours after the recording. we started from a light and i hit about 50 before we let off. i had him by about a length. next light i launched at about 1500 rpms and took him right away and kept pulling for about almost 2 lengths. that was my first race with another v6. i dunno if having duals gave methe little edge against the other v6 but now im pretty happy i got them and i sorta saw the performance gain by racing another v6 with an aftermarket muffler.

does anyone know why the exhaust pops? I want these mufflers so bad but in the short run the popping would kill me, and honestly my dad would that I blew my money on them if they do that. They sound good so far. Keep us posted. Thanx

The pop is typical for flowmasters, and does it with the V8's too. Just have to wait for it to break in.

im not sure wut causes the popping. maybe something to do with the chambers in the muffler but i could be wrong. it usually last for about maybe 500-600. butive heard it goes away at 1000 miles which im close to and its pretty much gone. my opinion to you is just go for it and get the flowmatsers. you wont regret it.

I think the popping noise is the unburnt fuel from the engine buringing off in the mid-pipes of the exhuast. My MRT did this too when the car was cold and during break in.

My guess is that because the stock tune is on the rich side, the extra fuel left over causes the popping, and even more when the cars not warmed up. I came to that conclusion because after I tuned my car, it never ever popped again.
