N/A that's true, shorty's out perform lt's it a dyno proven fact. And shorty's do show gains on N/A cars! It's dyno proven! Dyno's have shown gains of 5-12rwhp on N/A 4.0's. They do have gains, because they flow better than the 4.0 stockheaders manifold. Think, whenever u increase somethings efficiency, there will be gains in production! Where'd u here zero hp from, cause I want to know who's giving out false info!

I have LT's. I had shorties. I ran 14.30 with the shortys and 14.13 with the LT's, all the same mods.

uhhh....what? LT's outflow shorties
They outflow but for a V6 you need that lil bit of backpressure that you lose with longtubes,so they dont outperform. This is why the exhaust sounds closer to V8 if you have shorties and duals, rather than LT's and duals. Performance wise you will gain more with shorties on our cars(although minor increase) rather than longtubes. Also you can replace stock manifold with shorties and keep your factory cats with no other mods.
why is it then that the fastest n/a sixer has lt's and the few guys with actual quality lt's have shown better gains than people with shorties?

show me the dyno's, I've always heard n/a people running duals(other than boss) losing hp or torquefrom them. Show me the dyno's kid younger than me!

there have been multiple threads about it. One specifically was a guy who got some custom made, cant remember exactly by who. Just search long tubes here and on the "other" forum. You may lose a bit of torque down low, but up top you will gain. Our stock headers flow pretty damn well for stockers and shorties don't change flow characteristics very much at all.

That listing is very confusing, don't buy that, looks like a scam. I know shorties do something cause theydyno 5-12rwhp and in my case, closer to 12 probably.Searchedthelongtubes, found out that yes, u willlose a noticable amount of low end torque b/c longtubes reduce backpressure alot and r made for top end power, and if ur not pushing more than 260hp, u willeasily feel it. Some people w/no bolt-onsthat goduals with wide pipes andlose a noticable amount of low-end they say, I've even seen it in my friends 4.0.Then again, I read most people her buy themfor soundor have a supercharger.LT's r illegal in most states, so check ur laws. LT's r illegal in NY and b/c of thatand the fact I don't want to lose low end or get custom exhaust fabbing, I wentshorty headers. With LT's the car will sound bad *** and loud as hell, no doubt! Don't worry about that. U willneed to fix aCEL with the 2 cats gone if u do this I'm pretty sure. LT's will cost more to install and cost moreforcustom welding and cutting-probably a few hundread more. With this info, uchoose what to do. Good Luck modding that thing!

the listing is bya guy on another forum, so i know its legit. there seems to be many conflicting views about whether or not LTs will cause a loss of power compared to stock. right now i think im mostly aiming for my car to sound amazingly badass. another question though, if i do get longtubes, will i be able to retain my stock cats, or will i have to get aftermarket ones?
