If you go headers dont spend the cash unless you get shorties, JBA shorties that is. Shorties actually have a minor performane increase over long tubes. The JBA have a conical deflector in the end that really helps flow, plus you still maintain your cats. The sound is so much better with shorties even though long tubes are so much cheaper.

Lt's with no cats buzz between 2500 and 3000 rpm, you won't like it. i have tried all different setups, and the shorties and factory cats sounded best.

They outflow but for a V6 you need that lil bit of backpressure that you lose with longtubes,so they dont outperform. This is why the exhaust sounds closer to V8 if you have shorties and duals, rather than LT's and duals. Performance wise you will gain more with shorties on our cars(although minor increase) rather than longtubes. Also you can replace stock manifold with shorties and keep your factory cats with no other mods.

The shorties give pretty much zero HP increase on a N/A V6. Long tubes only minor increases. They really help if you are going to be going F/I. If I was going to do it I would wait for the Kook's V6 headers that will be out soon. They will be doing the test car which has a S/C soon.

Im sorry but on a N/A V6 shorties will outperform longtubes every time.
