Only problem is that you'll need to tap the holes... they do not have any thread in them. Or at least mine did not. I was also missing the transmission cross brace hangers. Guess the took them out on later year mustangs.

I ended up having my pipes welded. Didn't want to have to hassle with it if it moved. Welding it also seemed to yield a smoother tone.
yeah the guy who did my H pipe said he had to tap the holes as well.

Yep, tapping is required.
Crawled under there and the drivers side hanger bracket bosses are there but not tapped.
Metric, I believe.

The tapping vs no tapping is still a debate, I have an 07 and I did not have to tap my drivers side hanger, the whole was there and I was able to screw right in.

Now keep in mind I did not pay attention if it was tapped or not, the FRPP kit could have had self tapping bolts, I just remember putting the bolt in without any issues at all.

I just went the easy route and installed a reverse Y from Saleen. I had to tap the holes on my driver's side (mine is an '08).

Keep in mind that if you ever go FI, the reverse Y would not be desirable though.

I'm not too worried about that. I've seen several cars ran that way before.

ok, so I don't have my h pipe like I thought I would yet, so I'm considering buy this:

http://www.americanmuscle.com/pypes-0509-v6-xpipe.html

but it says I need shorty headers, however when I read the description it just says to cut factory pipe slip on.. so will this work with stock headers or not ?
