Yep, his bearings are thanking him for that move...

Can you say 'combustion by-products cause acids
to form in the oil over time'?
Rosco P Coltrain 5W30 and a MO899 Mopar filter

Eneos is a full true synthetic oil and can be easily run for 10,000 miles before a full change i just do the filter swap because i don't believe in high milelage filters.

I usually use the designated Motorcraft, Walmart stocks it. I know there's some debate for which filters are better, but 1st I guess this is good enough for Ford, and 2nd I always change both the oil AND the filter every 3000 miles. Put over a 100,000 miles on each of my last 5 cars, and never had an engine problem. Good maintenance pays off...PS I've always changed my own oil since I started driving, 49 years ago.

I use Amsoil 5W-30 full synthetic and Motorcraft FL820s

My 4.0 Mustang has 115,000 miles with 85,000 running an X-Charger supercharger along with plenty of open track, autocross and daily WOT accelerations.

can I make a suggestion and upgrade to the Amsoil SSO 0W-30? It's a much more robust oil. Some have even reported MPG gains.

Wow you've been running 85,000 miles with the X-charger? Thats awesome makes me feel alot better about accelerating hard occasionally since I just passed 40,000. Also you do autocross.

2 weeks ago I switched from the Ford synthetic blend to Mobil 1 10w-30 and I'm using the Ford 820S Filter.

Using the Motorcraft blend and filter is excellent for 99% of drivers. Just be sure not to exceed 7500 miles. If you're doing a lot of stop and go and city driving, change it by 5,000 miles or so. You can't beat the price for the oil and filter at WallyWorld.

I've never even seen or heard of that before until you mentioned it, where do you get it?
