A good combo except you're limited by the miles you can put on the Motorcraft filter which conservatively is good for 7500 miles. M1 is good beyond that but if you're changing your oil at not much less than or at 7500 miles AND you don't mind spending the extra $$ for the M1, you're good.

So I will be good to change at 5000-7500 miles with that fitler?

Definitely. The FL-820S is a great filter for the price, IMO. Since Ford recommends it with a 7500 mile interval I'm sure it's fine. Our engines aren't producing enough garbage to clog a filter before that anyway. As far as oil change frequency, educate yourself and then chose based on your comfort level. I have over 1 million miles logged on numerous cars, all of which I've done my own oil changes on from day one. I'm comfortable with my frequencies although many think I'm nutz. I've put over 200,000 miles on more than 3 cars alone with rather long change intervals. NONE used oil.

I dont know who carries it but maybe Wallymarts or
AutoZones or PeppemBoys or Oreally.
The NAPA brand is made by Purolator, so maybe the NAPA store?
Its a well known brand thats worth every penny....
I had a purolator on my go-cart when I was a kid some 45 years ago...

And a FilterMag is mandatory...

I use Royal purple 5-30 and a k&n gold filter. I like them both and have no problem. It is pricey but I have heard its the best oil. Well that or ams oil

Mobil 1 5w-20 and Bosch filter which is a bit shorter to clear the tubing of the Paxton intercooler.

Motorcraft filter and Mobile 1 synthetic. I use Mobile 1 synthetic in all my vehicles with the stock Motorcraft filter. I change the oil in my wife's 1999 Expedition and my Bronco every 10k miles. I usually write the mileage on the filter and know about how long it takes to put 10k miles on each one. Well I forgot to check the wife's mileage and she went 20k miles on that oil. Sure it was dirty, but the engine has yet to show any type of damage and that was over 2 years ago. The Expedition now has 140k miles on it with no leaks, and does not burn oil. I'm sold on it.

I use mobile 1 full synthetic and motorcraft filter. I feel mobile 1 is the top of the line when comes to oil, but the important part is to change it frequently, that is more important than the oil you use.
