Default What oil/filter do you use?

I know there is a designated Oil forum but I want 4.0 specific answers...

I use Motorcraft Synthetic Blend 10w-30.
And the Motorcraft Filter.

I noticed alot of people use 5w, I know its a different weight then 10w obviously but whats the difference or benefits of one another?

5w-30 is better for the tighter clearances in our motors.
Fwiw, I use the Motorcraft filter now.

Should I switch from 10-30 to 5-30 then?

when its below 32 degrees...
above 32 degrees, it dont a matter.
30 weight is 30 weight.

If its cold where you a be.
The W means winter temp viscosity.
In the summer it a dont a matter.
In da winter, the 5W helps with oil flow at lower ambient temps.
10W during the winter, NO.
The 30 is the normal operating temp viscosity.
Pure oil now, Purolator.
Another question down, next.
