Dumb Question about SuperChips Tuner
Hey guys. I found someone locally selling a Superchips Max Micro Tuner, for V6 & V8 Gas , 1755VC.
I tried to find as much info on these as possible, but thought some real input is bettter than just reading the advertisements that are out there.
What does this exactly do? Will this give me better gas mileage, or worse? Does it convert it to 93 Octane? If so, does that hurt my MPGs?
Any help is GREATLY appreciated.
Also, is $99 a fair price to pay?
Thanks guys!

I could be wrong but I believe the older (maybe newer as well) were vin locked to the original vehicle, meaning you wouldn't be able to use it for anything other than reading codes. So I wouldn't buy it personally unless you find that has changed.

Considering the wisdom and knowledge base of the forum, you'll get what you pay for. Plus, you won't have the latitude and customer support that a good custom tune provides. I'd pass.

as long as he has loaded his stock tune back to his car then it is unlocked... but I wouldn't pay $99 for it... I got one off of ebay 2 years back for only like $20 and that was new in a box... might wanna check on there first... and the only thing that it is really good for is changing your gear ratio if you've installed gears, turning the rev limiter off and changing the fan temps... it doesn't let you change anything else
