Revs bounce between 1000 to 2000

Mostly in the mornings,while slowing down or at a stop,the revs bounce between 1000 to 2000 and sometimes even just stays at 1500..I have to pump the gas to make it stop..What would make my stang do this?

There is a TSB for it, its something to do with your PCM needing an updated flash... Mine does it.

You can also try cleaning the TB (throttle body).

Mine does it as well....cleaning the TB and MAF sensor will reduce the issue, but not eliminate it.

my car does it at start ups ( 93 bama race tune) and settles down after a few minutes or so then seems ok, but my car is a auto too. i keep my tb clean.

Clean your MAF and throttle body, as has been stated. Use high quality MAF cleaner and throttle body/intake cleaner. Clean the TB really good, paying special attention to the outer edges of the butterflies and DO NOT spray the TB cleaner on the MAF. Any chance you have a filter that requires oiling? My car hates it.
