Advice on where to start?
I had Sixers season tickets for like 5 years (the years when my high school team was better, literally) and got tired of it. I'm a Knicks and Bobcats fan at heart though
Anyway, if you really enjoyed driving the Pony Package, I'd definitely recommend a rear sway bar. A GT takeoff can be picked up pretty cheap, the install is cake and the results are awesome. Despite what whatshisname says, there are some mods that make a really nice, noticeable difference
You do need hangers. The shop that did mine fabricated them.
No one can change how HAPPY I am with this car!
I found these(thanks to another memner of the board), is that what your talking about?

Is there somewhere to get a GT bumper for a good price?

As far as finding a GT bumper, they are much more difficult to find now as new take off units. When Ford changed the rear end in 2010 the new take off market for bumpers pretty much dried up. You can find them on craigslist, eBay, or even on the various forums though. But finding a color match is tough.
I actually preferred the V6 bumper cut for the dual exhaust. I thought it had a much better look to it. The only reason I changed was because I was rear ended and it was cheaper to get a GT take off and replace the bumper myself, then let the other guy pay for my stripes to be painted.
I haven't gone the CAI/Tune route but have considered it.
Sounds like you are trying to say that the parts Ford put on our cars are whats best for it. For the average Joe or for the lady who only drives it to the bank would fit your conclusion, but there are too many Mustang enthusiast who have learned that some after market parts as well as some upgraded Ford parts will make the car more enjoyable. It has been proven that the drive shaft is not equipped to handle speeds over 115. Now do most of us go that fast? No, but that stock part is dangerous for those who want to venture onto the track.
I would say 99% of the stock Mustang hoods have the TSB problem with hood corrosion. As you see, there are some reasons to change out the stock parts not just because "we want to."

What's "best for the car" is purely a matter of perspective. Again, there is no deciding authority that says what is best for the car or that configuration X is the best and configuration Y isn't. What you think is best for the car someone else might find to be completely annoying. Neither of you is either right or wrong.
Ford has Ford Racing parts for the Mustang for the same reason that there is an aftermarket for the Mustang and that is because there is money to be made in it. Not because the Ford Racing parts make the car "better". Better according to whom? It's all a matter of perspective. Take the 2010 V6 Power Upgrade Package from Ford Racing for instance. It's $1295 to add dual exhaust and a tuner package. You have to use 93 octane fuel after that and it nets a miserly 15 hp after all of that. Now some might consider that a worth while investment. I personally think it's a waste of money. Some might even say it makes the car "better". I wouldn't. But again, it's all a matter of perspective. But Ford knows that someone will want to buy that package so they sell it and they make money off of it.
How about lowering the car? Makes it handle better, gives it a low to the ground aggressive look. But it also means that out there on city streets full of potholes and speed bumps that you're more likely to bottom the car or rub something and you surely have to slow down to a near crawl for those parking lot speed bumps while the standard suspension can roll over them at upwards of 20 mph. Which is "better"? The answer is, it all depends on the owner and what you want your car to do.
As for the drive shaft, that hasn't been an issue for several years now. I think the 05 and 06 V6 cars were the only years affected by that. After that Ford put a different drive shaft in the car that is capable of higher speeds with no problem.
So again, yes it all comes back to changing out parts because you just want to. And that's ok.
Well put Whitehorse, we are all different. If we were all the same life would be pretty boring, and all our stangs would be as well. Your reality is your perspective.
After much consideration, deliberation, and reading everyone's thoughts, I chose to go with a Billet Grille combo(upper and lower), and an American Thunder muffler. After looking at probally 200 vids on youtube(with my wife rolling her eyes non-stop) I really liked the sound of the Flowmaster American Thunder. Don't get me wrong the GT takeoffs, Borla, and Mac all sounded great, but in the end I could not pass up only $170 to get a little deeper sound than stock. I figure I could always convert to dual in the future and sell the Flowmaster if I did. Or buy another Flowmaster muffler and have a shop make some custom pipes later. Only spending that much also allowed me to get the grille combo. I am really excited to dress up the front end. Next after that will be chrome headlights.
Thanks to everyone that posted their thoughts, I will post both video clips of the exhaust and pics of the grilles when they are done.
