3rd gear problem

Default 3rd gear problem

sometimes when i shift into 3rd it grinds the gear very quickly but still goes into gear and my clutch is on the floor when this happens, can anyone help me?

This is a common issue with the T5 in your car, that is the nature of the beast with those transmissions.... Mine used to do it randomnly even when driving normally.

The T5 is a crappy transmission IMO, Tanner05 is currently having issues with hers aswell, its not just you. Although I haven't tried it myself nor do I have the T5 anymore but I hear with a good fluid change (royal purple) helps smoothen it out a little.

Yeah the T5 is a piece.
I took it to the dealer and they messed it up worse.

But its the only problem I have run into with my car so I'm pretty happy.

Sean, while your car is a 2010 and still under warranty I would take it in and ask for a replacement or fix.
