Tranny/Engine chirp/screech after Bama Tune
#12
^This is correct. We've seen this before, with the added shift pressure the Serpentine belt can screech or make noises. We can definitely soften the shifts up a tiny bit so that doesn't happen anymore!
Give the Bama team a call and they'll get you squared away, very quickly! Our Bama Performance tuning specialists are here in the building Monday-Friday from 9AM-5:30PM EST and Saturday 9AM-5:30PM EST. You can hit them up directly at 888.226.9764 and they'll get you squared away!

Hey guys,
I've been working with BAMA to try to soften out the shift point but nothin seems to get rid of that damn chirp. I've inspected my tensioner and am assuming it is still good but not too sure how to read the freakin wear marks Ford provided us with. My cheapo (Haynes) Shop manual is vague as usual. Can any of you take a look at the pic and let me know what you think, I desperately need a second opinion. I've got 105k on this tensioner and have never replaced it, my belt has 5k on it and was replaced in November 2012. Thanks guys!

Im having the exact same issue with my bama tunes on my 2006 mustang. I was extremely worried it was something transmission related that was being pushed too hard. If its just the belt I could care less if it chirps. No big deal lol. They are sending me revised tunes where they also adjusted the shift pressure\firmness between stock and what they had it at so more or less just backed it off a bit. Ill let you know if it helps anything or not.
