Question 2008 V6 Exhaust Question - Headers

I'm planning on converting to a true dual exhaust system, and I was wondering if it was necessary, or if it would make much of a difference, to change the stock headers. I've heard that the stock headers are fairly legit, and aftermarket headers don't really do much as far as performance goes. Anyone have ideas/suggestions?

really depends on what your plans are for the car. if you are going to go F/I I would definitely get headers. If you are just going to do little stuff to it then it isn't needed other then for a different exhaust tone.

Thanks. I don't plan on making many modifications to my pony. I'll be installing a cold air intake today, and I plan on buying a true dual exhaust kit within the next few weeks/months. I also purchased the X4 BAMA tuner. Besides these, I don't plan on making any more performance mods, thus I don't think I'll be upgrading (or changing, for that matter) the stock headers.

I'm excited how my pony is gonna sound/perform after all this is said and done. Being that it has an automatic transmission, the tune is gonna make a HUGE difference when it comes to throttle response. The CAI and dual exhaust will make my V6 RUMBLE!
