Well i cleaned the MAF and throttle body to no effect. So i just sat and thought about the problem for a while. Thinking about the electronic throttle, the car acts like when i hit full throttle its sending value outside the range of the throttle bodys array of known values. So it shuts down. I would think this would throw some sort of except code. Like and index out of bounds or something but all i get is the p0607.
any ways continuing on this train of thought i researched on calibrating the throttle to the throttle body. This forum is great as i found several threads on it, although with mixed responses as to whether it actually works. But i tried it cycled the throttle through it full range 3 times as suggested i started the car, turned off tcs and overdrive, stomped on the throttle and...... the car launched! A little tire squeel from the wet road but other than that flawless. I repeated this several times with no cut out so i think that was the issue .

thanks for providing me a sounding board to bounce my thoughts off from and providing suggestions. This is a great community and i hope i can contribute to it

Thanks for the feedback. Anecdotal evidence on the throttle pedal calibration procedure working to fix something...I think that's a first for that one?!
