2004 GT Vert vs 2006 GT Coupe - Help

RE: 2004 GT Vert vs 2006 GT Coupe - Help
Stupid question, what is it you like so much about your old Mustang that your new one can not offer? Is the '06 a coupe and not a convertible? The '05 & '06's are supposed to be a much better vehicle all the way around. I know I am one who is not too awfully fond of the retro look interior. The older models looked more inkeeping with the 21st century than the new models. Materials are a bit better in the newer models but design looks somehow older than it needs to. I owned both a '67 notchback and '68 fastback 2+2 Mustang and didn't really care for the interiors then. They actually kind of sucked. The '69 & '70 interiors were the best of all.....had a '69 Mach 1 also.
My advice would be the same as Mustang Montana above, sell your '06 privately while holding your old car with a deposit. You should be able to get almost exactly as much as you paid for it by selling it privately. Maybe even more as many areas do not have too many of the new GT's available and it is fully warranteed anyway. Black on black is a good combo for resale also. Who knows, you may be able to work out one hell of a deal on your old car if the dealer is hungry this time of the year. Good luck but still curious what the bottom line is on your decision to go with the '04 over the '06.

RE: 2004 GT Vert vs 2006 GT Coupe - Help
Deannostang,
Thank you very much for your help and feedback. This is a very difficult decision and I really appreciate the comments on what you would do.
Right now I am leaning towards making an offer on 2004 gt vert and trying to sell the 2006 gt coupe.
If you owned a 60's mustang you would love the 2005+ I bought it for the looks, performance, etc., but miss the convertible which I think is the best vert value.
Thanks again and for any other advice - I need to decide by tomorrow...
