i have flows 40 series too......and i think they sound great......and i don't know what this drone everyone talks about it......i guess i must like it whatever it is.
Yeah I'm with you there buddy. I personally can't stand the sound of 99% of the strait through systems, they all rasp at high RPM. If I wanted ANY rasp I would have kept my Honda...(jk). But I just LOVE the deep, rumble sound of my Flowmasters!

RE: Flowmaster Drone!!!
The truth of the matter is that there will always be a debate as to which exhaust setup sounds the best. It is really a matter of personal taste. I actually have the complete SLP 330 HP Performance Pac (330 Flywheel HP) installed on my '02 GT which includes:
* Long-Tube Headers (1 5/8 inch primaries, ceramic coated inside and out)
* X-Pipe with high-flow cats
* Loud Mouth exhaust
* DiabloSport Predator (SLP Tune)
* Underdrive Pulleys (SLP)
* K & N Air Filter
* 160 degree thermostat
Other mods:
* 3.73 Gears (Ford Motorsport)
* Slotted and Cross-Drilled Rotors (Ford Motorsport)
* The main reason I decided to go with SLP other than the fact that I LIKE the way it sounds is the fact that the components are designed to work together. I am not a big fan of mixing and matching exhaust components like a lot of others seem to do.
* Before I bought my '02 GT I owned a heavily modified '79 Corvette (Too many mods to list). It had over 500 HP at the rear wheels and sported Full Length Chrome Hooker Headers, no cats, and 4 inch Chrome Sidepipes. Neither the Flowmaster or the SLP exhaust notes come anywhere near the sound the Corvette made. [sm=guilty.gif]
