Yeah but Ford adds additional bracing into vert Stangs in order for the car to be able to handle the loss of rigidity that comes with losing the roof section. Isn't that why verts are heavier than coups?

You cut the top of a coup & without that extra bracing well,, your car could turn into an accordian lol. Or maybe the Targa shop includes the bracing in it's kit..?
all you'd have to do is get the subframe connectors.

The verts have subframe connectors, but they are not full length. Also the vert motor is pretty heavy.

really the verts have subframe connectors? duh what do you think i am a ****ing tard?[8D]

i know that......i'm saying all you'd have to do to get the rigidity for the targa top is put in subframe connectors.....then it'd be just as solid as a vert.....if not a little more because of the roof that remains.

If I'm not mistaken, FORD actually made a removable hard top (in limited quantities) for their convertibles, I want to say around 95 or 96. I've seen them on ebay once or twice and I believe they will fit through 04 verts. You might want to check with your local dealer, who knows they might still be able to get you one.

...oh, and I've got a 99 GT vert and absolutely LOVE it. I know it's a little bit heavier and slower than the coupes, but nothing like the wind and sun in your face when cruising........ and the verts get much more looks than the coupes.....

Yeah but I think that targa top would get just as many if not more just because its so different then what you see every day. I really like the look of that targa top.

if anyone has one of those 94-95 mustangs with the hard top vert they ought not sell it........those are going to be worth a ****ing fortune......because they didn't make very many of them.......i have never even seen one.

so if you can find one.....no matter the condition it'd be a good buy.
