I gotcha...the same thing happened to me when I was changing a u joint...one of the bolts was being a complete b***** I had a 4 foot breaker bar and my car was like 4 foot off the ground...I finally got it....Good luck man..let me know how it goes...

one thing to note...have patience when you get to the starter and have plenty of swivels and extensions. i snapped 2 of the swivels trying to get the top bolt off. my car was just high enough to where the tranny would clear, so maybe if you get the car up higher or have access to a lift it will be easier. it did take me about 3 or 4 hours and about a 6 pack just to get that one bolt off.

torch it for 20 minutes till that thing is almost boiling.

I had to do it to get one of my o2 sensors out of my h pipe... Before that I broke off a rounded bolt socket with a 4 foot breaker bar on the end.... damn thing still wouldnt budge.
