what all does it take to make a change from an automatic to a manual besides basic stuff? like does the computer or the engine need re-calibration or can i just swap trannies and be done?

you need, pedals and assembly, clutch, cross member, drive shaft, the tranny, wireing and some other stuff probably, someone makes a kit for $1000 NOT including the tranny, it would be better just to put on a shift kit with full manual valve bodies, some 4.10 gears and a torque convertor

I have a place not too far from me, told me everything I need minus labor of course costs 1400 bucks. Then there is all the work.
