Default Vibrations"

I was driving on the street tonight and i had O/D off and noticed that my car vibrates around 1st and 2nd gear, does anyone know what this could be?? Btw its a 99 GT Automatic.

possibly drive shaft
old 3000gt vr4 drive shaft bearing assembly went out and vibrated like hell

I am still fighting this problem right now... Is it RPM dependent??


I ended up changing my tranny mount (was toast), U-Joints (I don't know if they're any good) and now I'm in the process of swapping my Tranny (just not good)...

I hope to fix this w/ the end all be all....

Also, how's the rear end in your car?? Do you get any whirring, howling, or whining??

I have the same problem, but it is only within about a 200 HP range. My mechanic told me there is nothing that can be done because my aftermarket rims are not exactly round. I guess that is what happens when you get a good price. That could be the problem. If it only happens when you brake then it is probably a warped rotor. Need a few more details before we can know for sure but those are a few places to start looking.

Have you ever looked at your rear diff's inerds?? You may want to start there.. If you're not familiar w/ what good vs. bad is, take some pictures, and post them here..


Can you tell where the whining is coming from?? That's another good thing to listen for...
