Ok then so I need to get a poll started [sm=headbang.gif]. What does is supposed to be the best bang for the buck for best performance and sound quality combined. Personally I ran flowmaster 40's on my 65 elcamino when i had it and it was a completely different car/truck/mullet after I did that plus it was loud which as muscle car lovers we all want to hear. I was pondering using flowmaster super 40's or even going down to 30's which are the boarderline race mufflers.

everyone has flowmasters. i have the magnaflow magnapack but they are a hassle because i am always having to adjust the exhaust because of the hot to cold with the pipes. so i got frustrated and i welded it. but a very nice sounding exhaust. also the slp is a very aggressive exhaust. i think that the slowmasters sound a little too empty.

HOLY CRAP THATS HILARIOUS!!!!!!!

I love the 30 series flows. Theres a reason they call them American Thunder!!!!!!!!!!!

The magnapacks and SLP, sounds awesome too. They are not even the same type of muffler as the flow. They are more like a glasspack. Two totally different sounds. To each his own!

if u want deep traditional muscle get an offroad h-pipe, long tube headers are the best for the most hp gains, you can also get an offroad x-pipe and that combined with the lm1s when u stomp the gas it will be LOUD.

BBK Headers, MAC Off-road H pipe, and a personal choice is the 40series flows. I don't like that cackle off the back pressure and I think the 40 series deals best with that. My buddy has the exact same set up and it sounds GREAT. However, as you probably know gonna have to keep in mind that you will probably need to get MIL Eliminators if you don't have the cats. These are only around 10-25 depending on where you get them, and will "trick" your computer into thinking that it indeed has the O2 sensors still there in the cats, thus the engine "check engine" light won't come on. It's definitely a must. If you don't, you'll have that damn thing on all the time and it WILL drive you nuts. Not to mention that it looks very very tacky.
