When should I get it serviced? What do they do when they service it?

i had mine done at lee myles. basically they take your transmission pan off, drain all the tranny fluid, replace your transmission filter, clean out the pan and then reinstall it and fill it with fresh fluid. pretty simple just make sure you buy the right tranny fluid.

yup, if you have a manual it's a straight drain and fill.

What I would reccomend is if you can get it to a shop that FLUSHES your trans it's much better. It uses the transmission pump (torque converter) to pump fluid through a special machine that takes out all the old crap and puts in the new stuff, we have one at my work.
